Coupon and Lead Generation Website

A coupon website that turns shoppers looking for a deal on home furnishings into known, followable leads.

DeliverablesCoupon website, lead capture forms, coupon and lead administration
IndustryDesign & Furnishings

Business goals

The client operates in home design and furnishings, where purchases are considered and buyers often compare for weeks before spending. Many of those buyers search for a discount before they commit. The client wanted to meet that search with a dedicated coupon website and to get something lasting from each visit: a name and contact details it could follow up with, instead of an anonymous click.

Project overview

Hexagon built a coupon website and the lead generation behind it. Visitors browse current offers by category, and capture forms collect contact details in exchange for a coupon or further information. The client's team adds offers, sets expiry dates and reviews collected leads from an admin area. The result gives the client a promotional channel it controls, separate from its main sales experience.

Challenges faced and solved

A discount brings a shopper in once. The work is making sure the visit leaves something behind.

The challenge

Deal hunters who vanish after the click

Someone comparing sofas or lighting may click a coupon, look around and leave. Without contact details, the business paid to attract them and has no way to continue the conversation.

Our solution

We tied offers to short capture forms, so a shopper gives a name and email address in return for the coupon or more information.

The challenge

Expired codes that damage trust

Nothing sours a furniture purchase faster than a code that fails at checkout. Coupon sites with stale offers look careless, and shoppers don't come back to them.

Our solution

We gave every offer a start and end date, and expired coupons drop off the site without anyone needing to remember them.

The challenge

Promotions that depend on a developer

Furnishings promotions shift with seasons and vendor deals. If every new offer needs a technical change, the marketing team misses the moment or stops running promotions altogether.

Our solution

We built an admin area where staff create, edit and retire offers themselves, so a new promotion doesn't wait on a development ticket.

The challenge

Leads with no context attached

A list of email addresses tells a sales team very little. They need to know which offer or category interested the person before deciding how to follow up.

Our solution

We record the offer and category with each lead, so the team can see what each person was looking at when they signed up.

How we took it from idea to launch

Good software follows a process. Here are the six stages, and what happens in each one.

Stage 1

Discovery & Requirements

Goal: Define the product vision, target audience and core business requirements.

Key activities
  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Market and competitor research
  • Defining user personas
  • Drafting technical specifications or a Product Requirements Document (PRD)
Stage 2

Design (UX / UI)

Goal: Create an intuitive user experience and visual interface.

Key activities
  • UX design: information architecture, user flows and wireframes
  • UI design: high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma or similar tools
  • Design system: colors, typography and component libraries
Stage 3

Development: Frontend & Backend

Goal: Build the functional application using agile sprints.

Key activities
  • Backend: set up databases, design APIs (REST, GraphQL), implement server logic, and configure authentication and authorization (OAuth, RBAC)
  • Frontend: build responsive interfaces and connect components to backend APIs
  • Version control: manage code through Git and GitHub
Stage 4

Security & Optimization

Goal: Harden the application against vulnerabilities and boost performance.

Key activities
  • Security: address the OWASP Top 10, including injection, XSS and CSRF, enforce encryption in transit and at rest, and implement rate limiting
  • Optimization: code splitting and lazy loading, database indexing, API caching and load testing
  • QA and testing: unit, integration and end-to-end tests
Stage 5

Beta Release

Goal: Deploy to a controlled group of real users to catch edge-case bugs and gather feedback.

Key activities
  • Set up staging and production CI/CD pipelines
  • Launch a closed or open beta with real users
  • Monitor errors through observability tools
Stage 6

Public Release (Launch)

Goal: Roll the software out to the general public.

Key activities
  • Final production deployment
  • DNS configuration
  • Marketing and onboarding rollout
  • Post-launch performance and security monitoring

Business benefits

A list the client owns

Contact details gathered on its own site stay available for future campaigns.

Better sales conversations

Knowing the offer a person chose gives a follow-up a natural starting point.

Faster promotions

Marketing can publish an offer without a development cycle.

More shopper trust

Automatic expiry keeps dead codes off the page.

Conclusion

A coupon page looks like a small project, but its value depends on what happens after the click. Hexagon built the client's site so each offer can start a relationship, and so the marketing team can run promotions without technical help. The same approach suits any business whose buyers shop around before a considered purchase. If people are visiting your site for a deal and leaving without a trace, let's talk about how to keep the conversation going.

FAQs

Does this have to be a coupon site? No. The same pattern works with any offer a buyer values, such as a guide, a quote or a consultation.
Can our marketing team manage offers?Yes. On this project, staff add offers and set expiry dates from an admin area.
Can leads go into our existing tools? On this project, leads could be exported for follow-up. If you run a CRM, we can discuss a direct connection.
How do you stop expired codes from showing? Each offer carries an end date, and it leaves the site when that date passes.
